WE ARE HOME!

Thanks to all the “prayer worriers” who kept Carol’s journey on their prayer list. She was in the hospital 36 days after the operation due to complications (infection). The doctors were magnificent and the best in the world. It took a team of four surgeons 11 hours to remove a large number of tumors. They took out the spleen, cut out part of the pancreas, and took out part of the colon and the lower intestine and retied them. The lead doctor told us it was the equivalent of 15 surgeries in one. A year ago, we were looking at 4th and goal from the Auburn 32-yard line with 1 second to go, but our faith allowed us to believe in miracles. Luck is defined as ” when preparation meets opportunity” and our team prepared for six months to tackle this most difficult challenge. They were ready and they made difficult decisions based on preparation.

Thank You!

  3. What a blessing you guys are back home.As I watch a coach risk his challenge in the first 35 seconds of the game and win I had a thought. If a coach wins a challenge he gets 2 back.Id like that too in softball where you get a couple and successful or not you only get those.Anyway I saw a bit of history as it was the earliest challenge ever in an NBA game.I think I am going to be waching a little more Astros tonight as the Celtics opened up 12-0.

  4. McNeese is blessed to get the money for improvements. I don’t care where it comes from, just keep it coming.

I reread your article tonight as had to skim it early this AM.

I saw where you had prayer worriers and I thought you meant warriors, but then I thought, heck it is either or both!

After reading what all Carol had to go through with the surgery and then so long in ICU and the long hospital stay… WOW!!!

Thank God for the doctors and the team they put together. Glad they were studying thru college and not out partying all night.

They deserve all the praise and the money they get.
